Cloverdale, Surrey, B.C. — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in Cloverdale, leaving one man with minor injuries.

Surrey Police Service officers responded at approximately 3:52 a.m. on August 12, 2026, after receiving reports of gunfire near 60 Avenue and 177 Street. Police said two people were shot at during the incident, and an adult male suffered an injury that was not considered life-threatening and did not require medical treatment.

The suspects reportedly left the area before officers arrived. Investigators currently believe the shooting was targeted and have said there is no indication at this stage that it was connected to the recent extortion-related violence in the region.
