Whether it was organizing captain’s practices in freezing conditions or showing up at a teammate’s door to ensure no one fell behind, he embodied accountability, grit, and selflessness. He gave everything he had, all the time, expecting nothing in return.
On the field, Sam was a true competitor—a workhorse who embraced every challenge. One of his most unforgettable moments came during a 2021 matchup against Haverford High School. With his team trailing at halftime, Sam rose to the occasion, delivering a remarkable second-half performance by scoring six goals and leading a dramatic 10–9 comeback victory. It was a defining example of his “team-first” mentality and his ability to rise under pressure.
